SPECIAL OLYMPICS Mullingar was the the Host Town to the Lebanese delegation for the Special Olympics 2003. Post 20 Mullingar hosted a Gala Night in Bloomfield House Hotel for the Lebanese Delegation where 460 attended. The MC on the night was Tony Corrigan, a member of Post 20 IUNVA Mullingar. Bill Reidy, Chairman of Post 20 opened the night. Mr Joe Dolan presented kit i.e.bags wallets, caps, and t-shirts to the Lebanese Delegation. Bernie Newman videod the Gala Night and also the Athletic Events during their time in Mullingar. At the Gala Night there was Lebanese food prepared by a Lebanese Chef, which was appreciated by all. Maj. General V. Saveno (Retired) president of IUNVA thanked all for being there and congratulated the members of Post 20 on a wonderful night. The night could not have happened but for all the Sponsors; so we in Post 20 would like to thank them all for their generosity.
