Headstones
at Ballyglass Cemetery Mullingar before cleaning....

and
afterwards... |
If you have
visited Ballyglass Cemetery in Mullingar on a regular basis you must
have seen the graves of British Soldiers who died in the Military
Barracks in Mullingar over one 100 years ago; and noticed how bad
they looked.

Well, thanks
to Eddie Robinson and his comrades in I.U.N.V.A. Post 20, Mullingar
the headstones have been given a new lease of life. The headstones,
which number 10 in all, have been restored by local man Seamus Gibney
and funded by members of Post 20, Mullingar.

Mr Robinson remarked:
"We
were all Soldiers, and we must serve our masters, but when our time
comes we should not be forgotton; and Thank God for I.U.N.V.A. in
Mullingar - they will not let these young men be forgotton".
